Nizbor Glass Factory

Not far from Prague is the small town of Nizbor, home of the Ruckl Crystal Factory that has produced several pieces for Queen Elizabeth as well as many championship trophies for international sports tournaments. The Ruckl firm was first established in 1846 by Swiss immigrant Jan Ruckl. From 1945 to 1992 the company was nationalized and the Ruckl product was sold under the name of Bohemia Crystal.

A tour of the factory will demonstrate the time honored tradition of cut glass. Learn how craftsmen create an intricate piece of art from lead glass. After the tour you will visit the factory shop where you can purchase crystal.
